R&D (called Research and Development) is an activity, usually concerning a team of employee-researchers, of scientific or technical nature, whose aim is to identify the regularity found in the selected area or a reality check of hypotheses provided by scientific theories or concepts.
The practical aspect of such work is usually the discovery of new dependencies and relationships of the elements of selected field of reality in the process of improvement, perfection of techniques, technologies, methodologies. The result of this work can be further discoveries, inventions, new hypotheses, concepts and theories.
In marketing research, strategic development and business, this activity is abbreviated R&D (from the words of Research and Development).
