NR2C - New Road Construction Concepts
The project implemented under the 6th Framework Programme of the European Union. Using the project created vision of Europe road infrastructure, specifying the technological solutions and concepts in the field of spatial planning of urban and international roads and road infrastructure structures (bridges and tunnels), whose implementation should begin in the near future to meet the needs and demands of the future.

SPENS - Sustainable Pavements for European New member States
R&D programme carried out under the 6th European Union Framework Programme, which aims to develop appropriate methods and procedures for rapid repair of road surface with the use of materials, that would satisfy the expectations in typical climate conditions, have an acceptable environmental impact and be easy to implement utilizing the technology used and cost-effective and easy to maintain. The project relates to surface technology in the new EU member states.

CONNECT - Co-Ordination And Stimulation Of Innovative Its Activities In Central And Eastern European Countries
Research and Implementation Programme, spanning the cooperation of state authorities, road administrations and the private sector to improve the international transport by conducting standardized and synchronized activities of ITS (Intelligent Transportation System). The area of responsibility as provided in this programme includes such countries as Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

COST 354 - Performance Indicators for Road Pavements
Research program whose purpose is to define harmonized indices and indicators for paving, according to the needs of road users and administrators.
An individual evaluation of functionality indicators will be the basis for assessing the current and future design and maintenance needs at national and European road network level. By setting ranges and threshold values of individual indicators of functionality (eg, target value, warning value, etc.), minimum standards for both existing and proposed paving will be set.

ELLPAG - The European Long-Life Pavement Group
A programme, whose main task is to conduct a forum for initiatives and inspire new ideas in the design and maintenance of roads with high durability. The aim of ELLPAG is also an effective exchange of information and coordination of European research programs in this area as well as promotion among all users of durable surface.
ARCHES - Assessment and Rehabilitation of Central European Highway Structures
The strategic goal of the project is to raise standards and improve the state of road engineering facilities being in use in Central Europe. The project research is to develop procedures for full and credible assessment of the bridge structure status. Recommendations are developed to assess construction using a test diagnostic loads. Analysis are conducted using three types of test loads to assess the carrying capacity of bridge structure: a light load (using the technique of weighing vehicles in motion), diagnostic loads and correction loads. An online database of results of diagnostic tests, and theoretical analysis is also conducted.
