SPID - Mobile laboratory for the non-destructive pavement characteristics quantification on the basis of results of non-destructive research

The aim of the Project is to create a unique pavement testing mobile lab at the international level. The laboratory aims for research works at the European level and as well for the growth of the Polish economy.

The scientific purpose of the Project is the optimization of the Road infrastructure quantification process through the preparation and implementation of the modern evaluation system for pavements and civil engineering structures. The system will be based on integrated parameters analysis gathered from NDT.

The project will contribute to:

  • Increased use of modern NDT measurement systems in the design of reinforcements and repair of existing paving,
  • Computer-aided design of bridge structures with the use of modern diagnostic methods,
  • Research and determining the capacity of airport pavement according to the ACN-PCN method,
  • The use of modern NDT measurement systems in the monitoring of the surface state of the road network and bridge construction,
  • Improving the quality of the results of acceptance tests of new and repaired road sections and bridge construction.
